Linear Temperature Device (LTD)
The Linear Temperature Device (LTD) is a four wire device with an excitation of 5 to 30VDC. This range accommodates bouth 12VDC and 24 VDC which are typically available on most controls or data acquisition devices. It will even work with something as basic as a 9V battery. The signal output is -0.60 to 3.00VDC, corresponding to -60 to 300F. Alternative 0-5VDC and 0-10VDC single and dual outputs are also available.
Connections to the LTD are convenient. Stripped and tinned ends are standard, or the Dill Micro Connector series can be used. The micro connector series is a psh connector with locking ring for reliable connections. It offers convenience for maintenance, a NEMA 6P seal, and passes the shield through the connector.
